Burleigh Bodyboard Shop was taken over by the Waluew family, from Eppo (Eppos Bodyboard Shop.com) in October 2008. The original business started as the first online bodyboard shop in Australia in 1999 and the store was opened in 2004 to give customers the opportunity to buy first hand.
Mick, Deb, Morgan, Brandon and Thorpe have been involved in bodyboarding for the past four years, with Mick and Deb being President and Secretary of the Gold Coast Bodyboard club in 2008, Thorpe winning the National Grommets Title in 2008 and Brandon having extensive success with his photography and production of all designs. Morgan adds to the business working hands on in the store and also producing our die cut stickers. As you can see we are a family owned and operated business and pride ourselves on running our store with integrity and family values.
The store promotes and sponsors 18 riders of various age groups and skill level, currently sponsors the Queensland Association of Bodyboarding, BBA Pro Tour 2010 and is also sponsoring this weekend’s 1st Round of State Titles at Duranbah. We are committed to the support and development of bodyboarding Australia wide.
Our main aim is to deliver excellent customer service through our on line store as well as our shop. Our friendly staff, which includes Stevie Lloyd and Eric Medcalf, have extensive knowledge of the industry and the sport alike so you are guaranteed of the highest quality service and product.
